I had to get my hands on a prescription for lamisil and was going through the pharmacy to find it. I found the tube, the label and the bottle of Lamisil. I asked the pharmacist if there was anything I needed. He said there was but I needed a prescription and I was to go in the next day.
This is what I needed for the next day

The drug, known generically as terbinafine, was prescribed for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, a common childhood skin condition in children. The drug was first approved in 1999 by the FDA in an effort to prevent it from causing serious complications in children who took a single-dose course of the drug. Terbinafine was found to be effective in treating severe atopic dermatitis in children. Terbinafine is effective in the treatment of the condition, but it has a narrow therapeutic index. The drug is not indicated for use in dermatitis in children under 6 years old.
study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 2 trial with 2,000 patients. The participants were randomly assigned to receive either terbinafine or placebo, once daily for one week.
The trial also recruited patients with atopic dermatitis who had received treatment with the drug for a minimum of one year. The drug, terbinafine, was used as the treatment for up to six months and was well tolerated. Most of the patients were able to return to work after 12 months of treatment.
Results from thestudy suggest that terbinafine treatment in children has a narrow therapeutic index. It may not be effective for many patients, but this should be borne in mind when considering treatment in the long term.
“Tetrabenafine is an effective and safe alternative to terbinafine in treating atopic dermatitis,” said Dr. Peter B. Karp, MD, of the Division of Dermatology, Department of Urology at the University of Washington. “It provides the same level of effectiveness as terbinafine, but more tolerable. The drug is generally well tolerated, and once discontinued, patients can continue to take the drug for up to three years.”
Beside the trial, a large international clinical trial has been conducted to assess the use ofin the treatment of atopic dermatitis in children. The study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, parallel-group, single-arm trial. Participants in the study received terbinafine or placebo once daily for one week.
